Built for the platforms independent stores already trust and run on.

We didn’t build an e-commerce platform or a supplier network. BigCommerce and Flxpoint already do that better than anyone. Black Beach POS is the counter that plugs into BigCommerce today, with the Flxpoint connector coming soon, so the suppliers, the website and the register share one catalog and one stock count.

Integration live

The store is the catalog. The counter is the truth for what’s on the shelf.

BigCommerce is where the store lives, and it’s where most of our stores already are. Black Beach POS connects with a store API account and treats the store as the source of the catalog, while keeping the register as the source of truth for on-hand stock.

  • Catalog, categories, prices and images import with one click; product, order and customer webhooks keep them current
  • Stock pushed per store to BigCommerce inventory locations after every counter movement
  • Buy online, pick up in store: a $0 pickup option per store at checkout and a pickup queue at the register
  • Store stock on product pages and the cart; checkout offers only stores that can fill the order
  • Scheduled sale prices, coupons in both directions and customer-group pricing that agree online and at the counter
  • Online orders looked up, refunded and returned at the register; counter history, store credit and gift cards in the customer’s My Account
  • Connect with a store API account in minutes; the storefront pieces install through Script Manager

Coming soon

Your suppliers, your store, your counter. One stock number.

Flxpoint is how a store gets supplier and dropship catalogs onto its website without retyping them. Black Beach POS doesn’t replace that. It joins it as one more source, the one that happens to be your own shelf, so Flxpoint can route an online order to the store when you have it and to a supplier when you don’t.

  • Your suppliers and dropship vendors keep flowing into BigCommerce exactly as they do today
  • Black Beach POS plugs in as a warehouse source per location, so shelf stock and supplier stock merge into one online number
  • Flxpoint routes each online order to the store or a supplier; store lines become picks or ship-from-store orders
  • Supplier stock and cost show on the purchase order screen; POs go to the same vendors
  • Safety stock per SKU keeps the display piece and the last unit on the shelf off the website

MadFish Solutions · web development

The website, designed, built and run for independent retail.

MadFish One is the web development side of MadFish Solutions: BigCommerce storefronts built for independent stores, with the supplier feeds and the category structure a store actually needs. When the same team builds the website and the counter, the two are wired together from day one instead of reconciled after the fact.

  • Storefronts on BigCommerce designed for how people actually shop a boutique, a hardware store or a maker brand
  • Flxpoint supplier feeds set up as part of the build where a store uses them
  • Black Beach POS connected at launch: one catalog, one stock count, online orders routed to the counter
  • Fixed price, built with you on a live call, taken live on BigCommerce fast
  • Built and run by the same team, so there is one number to call for the website and the register

How it fits together

One system writes online stock. Never two.

The rule that keeps a shop from selling the same unit twice: exactly one system is the authority for the number the website shows. Today, Black Beach POS writes to BigCommerce directly. When the Flxpoint connector arrives (coming soon), Flxpoint can be that authority and Black Beach POS feeds it. It’s a setting, not an assumption, and it works for shops that have both, either, or neither.
